Need a new Cello? Want to upgrade or repair?
Be it an upgrade or your first cello, never buy it on your own. The problem stems from not knowing what type of sound you as a cellist want and the potential of the cello. The natural sound of the cello can be affected by the bow, string and even the setup being offered. Quality comes in all price ranges but the value of a proper instrument and education is an investment.
Hence, having a teacher or a professional cellist help you pick out cellos is more advisable. They would also know what types of cellos are possible within your budget range.
